Setting up Slack Notifications
Stay updated on your library’s engagement in Slack. Set up Composerly to send notifications whenever someone listens to, favorites, or downloads tracks. You’ll get alerts in Slack about listener activity. This keeps you informed of your library’s performance from any device.
1. Generate a Slack APP Integration

Head to the Slack API dashboard at api.slack.com and click “Create New App”.

Select the “From Scratch” option to build a custom integration.

Give your new App a descriptive Name and select your Main Workspace from the dropdown. Click “Create App” to generate the integration credentials.
2. Set Up Incoming Webhooks

Under Features, enable the “Incoming Webhooks” option. This allows your App to post messages to Slack.

Toggle the switch to the ON position to activate Webhooks for the App.

Click “Add New Webhook to Workspace”.

Review the permission request window carefully, select the specific Channel you want alerts posted to, and click Allow

Copy the Webhook URL shown for later.
3. Connect to Composerly

Navigate to Live Visitors page in your Composerly account and click “Configure Notifications” button.

Paste the Webhook URL from your new Slack App integration. type in the name of the channel, and select the notification types. Click “Submit” to activate streaming activity updates to your Slack workspace.
Now you’ll be automatically notified of library activity so you can efficiently track performance and engage fans - no matter where your day takes you!
